What is the big attraction for the non-churched with Carols by Candlelight?

I know that it’s nice to be with family and be at an outdoor event and all that, but let’s look at it. Thousands upon thousands of people who are not interested in anything the ‘church’ has to offer for the other 364 days of the year, will turn up at a park to sing ‘outdated’ songs about a religion they don’t believe. Why?

Good question I reckon! Tell him what you think.

Thanks for the note. We will be charging overusage fees for bandwidth and disk overusage.

We haven’t yet set the rate for those fees, and we will not actually be charging them until we have an option in place to purchase additional bandwidth or disk space at a lower cost.

Until then, your site will not be turned off if go over.

I was very sad after my orientation day yesterday.

Life is becoming so dreadfully safe – I can’t stand it!!!

I discovered that schools no longer have the high jump as an athletic event – because people can hurt themselves. I used to be our school’s high jump champion so I am disappointed about that – its a great event!

Kids also have to wear shoes at all times on the oval and hats are compulsory. There are other laborious regulations that we must adhere to also. Why?….

So we don’t get sued.

A litiguous society may be a very safe society, but it is also sounding very boring.

Where will it end???

Should churches be seeking to meet spiritual needs or ferment spiritual desires?

I read recently that this is the most common phrase in the entire Bible. (Christian speak would have me phrase it as ‘fear not’!)

What does that say to you?

For me I think maybe it suggests that when walk with God he places us in situations that require courageous faith – perhaps if you never experience fear you are either a supremo spiritual giant… or… you never do anything risky.
